A man that pleaded guilty to robbing a Beaumont bank has been sentenced to more than 15 years
in federal prison. 65-year old Michael Raymond Karras, of Houston, robbed the Chase Bank on
Eastex Freeway in June of last year. He was arrested 30 minutes later at a Valero Station on 11th
Street. On Tuesday, Karras was sentenced to 188 months.
