A Beaumont man faces up to 20 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to robbing several
businesses at gunpoint in and around Beaumont. Robberies included two Game X Change stores,
a Shell gas station, an Express Mart, and Cindie’s lingerie. 21-year old Daniel James Leatherwood entered
the pleas yesterday in front of U.S. Magistrate Judge Zack Hawthorne. There is a second defendant in
the case.
