The Newton County Sheriff’s Office reports 911 service to hundreds in the county has been knocked out.
Sheriff Robert Burby says a thief cut and stole over 900 feet of cable in the Burkeville area knocking out
the 911 service. It could be Monday before the lines are repaired.
