A 43-year old Beaumont woman is jailed accused of stealing mail. April Smith was arrested yesterday
morning following a traffic stop on North Major Drive. Inside the vehicle, police found mail from 15
different addresses and a pry bar. Several mailboxes at the Westend Lodge had been pried open. Smith
was transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
