The DPS reports one person was killed Sunday following a multi-vehicle wreck that included a nursing
home transport van in Sabine County. The fatality victim was a resident at the Lagacy Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center in Hemphill. Smoke from a controlled burn and fog reduced visibility in the area
and was the factor in the wreck. At least five people were transported to the hospital.
