Today is primary election day in Texas. Several races are on the ballot including sheriff races in
Jefferson, Hardin. Orange, Jasper, and Newton counties. The most publicized race is for House Seat
21 featuring Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan, David Covey, and Alicia Davis. Other races include
constable and justice of the peace. Polls are open from 7:00 to 7:00. To find out voting locations,
