An Orange County woman convicted of manslaughter has had her conviction overturned. Valyn Rose
Faulk, who was 17, when she struck and killed 28-year old Derrick Crane in November of 2018. Crane
was on the back of a garbage truck when he was struck on MLK in Orange. Faulk was placed on
probation. The court of appeals ruled yesterday evidence did not show she was driving recklessly when
she struck the struck killing Crane.
