Gas prices in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area are up three cents from last week with an average price of
$2.89 a gallon. Last year on the 8th of March we were paying $2.96 a gallon. No change in the
statewide average as it stays at $2.94. Triple A Texas reports the national average is up seven cents
to $3.40 a gallon.
