A man is dead following a pursuit that started in Fort Bend County and ended in Chambers County this
morning. The suspect is accused of kidnapping his common-law wife and 3-year old son. Chambers
County Sheriff Brian Hawthorne reports at the end of the pursuit, the suspect reached for a weapon and
was shot by deputies. He died at the scene. The woman and child were not hurt.
