Port Arthur police are investigating a homicide. Yesterday morning’s shooting in the 800 block of
Proctor claimed the life of 31-year old Tyrone Mitchell, of Port Arthur. Mitchell was found in a car
and died upon arrival to the hospital. A hour later, police were clearing out a crowd of about 500
people a block away at the Opulence Lounge when shots were fired. Two gunshot victims were
found inside the club. Both were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds to the legs.
27-year old Herbert Mouton was arrested inside the club on a charge of being a felon in possession
of a firearm.
