A joint operation between the Beaumont Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s
Office between June 24th and June 28th targeted key areas to curb violent crimes across the
city. As a result, 70 high risks traffic stops were made. There were 24 arrests including the recovery of
two firearms. 20 warrants were served that totaled over $5,500. Two search warrants were executed.
Charges ranged from felon in possession of a firearm, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, narcotic
violations, and assault on a police officer.
