Gas prices are up. Triple A Texas reports this morning average price in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area is $3.05 a gallon. That is three cents more than we were paying last Friday. The statewide average is up seven cents to $3.17. The national average jumped three cents to $3.54 a gallon. Mississippi is reporting the lowest statewide average in the nation at $3.00 a gallon. California has the highest at $4.47 a gallon.
