Motorists in Lumberton need to be alert of a reduction of the speed limit on Highway 96 between Walton Road and Village Creek from 65 mph to 55 mph. The new speed limit signs were posted by Tex-Dot on Monday. Last month Lumberton city council voted for the speed reduction.
