Today is the deadline for Texans affected by recent severe weather to apply for FEMA disaster assistance. The assistance is targeted for people who suffered storm damage from straight-line winds and tornadoes between April 26th and June 5th. Applications can be filed online, in-person at a disaster recovery center, by calling the FEMA Help Line at 800-621-3362 between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., or through the FEMA App. Help is also still available for people who suffered damage from Hurricane Beryl.Homeowners in more than three-dozen counties are eligible for assistance.
