A former corrections officer at the Jefferson County Jail has been indicted by a grand jury for bringing illegal substances into the jail. 24-year old Aleia Michelle Hemphill was arrested this past December after she was found to be in possession of two pieces of paper laced with synthetic cannabis. Prosecutors say she intended to give them to an inmate.
