An Orange County deputy sheriff is hospitalized in serious condition and a suspect dead following a shooting on Granger Lane this morning in Orangefield. The deputy was at the location on a mental health call when a struggle occurred. The Texas Rangers are assisting the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.
