Beaumont police are investigating a weekend homicide. The body of 57-year old Ronald Barnes was found in a residence on Ives Street early Saturday morning. 35-year old Romeo Randolph Johnson, a person detectives wanted to talk to about the homicide, turned himself in Saturday afternoon. Johnson has a warrant on an unrelated charge. Anyone with information on the homicide is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas at 409-833-TIPS.
