The Jefferson County grand jury has cleared two Beaumont police officers in the shooting death of a woman. On August 30th, 43-year old Victoria Meza fired shots at officers that were serving a warrant in the 700 block of Palm in south Beaumont. The gunfire struck ballistic shields officers were carrying. Officers returned fire striking Meza, who died at the scene. The grand jury no-billed the officers.
