Person Of Interest In Beaumont Murder Indicted For Aggravated Robbery

A person of interest in a recent Beaumont homicide has been indicted by the grand jury for aggravated robbery. 32-year old Romeo Johnson and another suspect are accused of forcing a victim from the Heritage Inn on 11th Street in Beaumont to the nearby Market Basket store to remove money from the ATM. The transaction failed and the victim was forced behind the store when he was assaulted and robbed. Johnson and two others are persons of interest in the September 14th shooting death of 57-year old Ronald Barnes at his home in the 2200 block of Ives Street in Beaumont.
