The principal at Hardin ISD Middle School in Liberty County is on administrative leave following his arrest for possessing child pornography. Deputies arrested Dr. Chad Dwight Barrett on Thursday. The sheriff's office started investigating Barrett after a mother reported that he had sent her child an inappropriate video via social media. The child is not a student at Hardin Middle School, where Barrett is the principal. Investigators say they found images and videos of child sex abuse on Barrett's cell phone. Barrett is charged with possession of child porn.
