The probable cause report where a Beaumont police officer was caught on video punching a man he was arresting has been released. The PC says the man, 50-year old John Kowalski refused to follow orders from the officer and fought with and tried to bite him during the arrest. Kowalski was also in possessing of a belt with sharp objects. Kowalski is charged with assault on an officer and resisting. His bonds total more than $18,000.
