A murder trial is underway in Jefferson County. 33 year old Jeremy Akeen Dixon. Of Beaumont, is charged with the August 2023 shooting death of 31 year old Remund Whittington outside the Crystal Grocery Shell Station in the 3100 block of Concord in Beaumont. The trial is in Judge John Stevens courtroom at the Jefferson County Courthouse.
