HUD secretary Ben Carson will be in the area today to visit three damaged housing developments
in Port Arthur and to tour Beaumont’s water treatment plant today. This morning, Carson will
join Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Land Commissioner George P Bush in touring the
Bellbrook Housing Development, Park Central Housing Development, and Palms Housing
Development. Just before the noon hour, Carson will meet with FEMA volunteers at the
DRC on Stagg Drive in Beaumont, and the tour the water treatment plant on Pine Street in
Beaumont.
