A Lumberton woman has been charged with murder. 70-year old Elizabeth Ann Taylor is
accused of shooting her boyfriend, 58-year old Larry Wayne Atwood of Vidor, in the chest
yesterday afternoon as they were heading north on Eastex Freeway. She then shoved him
out of the car and drove to her home in Lumberton. Atwood was transported to the hospital
where he died. Taylor was arrested by Hardin County deputies and returned to Beaumont
and was transported to the Jefferson County Jail. The investigation continues
