Louisiana Couple Sentenced On Drug Charges

A Leesville, Louisiana couple appeared in a Beaumont federal prison for trafficking drugs

through east Texas. In March of 2016, Hardin County deputies stopped a vehicle on a

traffic violations. A box containing a kilo of methamphetamine was found in the vehicle.

The couple in the vehicle admitted they were transporting the meth to the home of 38-year

old Lola Michelle Jackson and 42-year old John Earl Jackson to be delivered in Louisiana.

A search warrant of the Jackson’s home revealed 72.8 grams of methamphetamine. Lola

Jackson has been sentenced to 78 months and John Jackson has been sentenced to 262 months.

Both pleaded guilty to the charges in March.
