10 Celebs Who Set Thirst Traps For Other Stars

Demi Lovato got the rumor mill going when fans theorized she set an effective thirst trap for actor Henry Cavill online. Inspired by this turn of events, we compiled a list of other celebs who made similar attempts – with mixed results. Read on!

Demi set the Internet ablaze when she set the most-talked about thirst trap of 2018 (so far!). After following the Superman actor on Instagram, she posted a photo of herself in a white lace bodysuit and then liked two of Henry’s photos. He responded, in turn, by liking and commenting on one of her photos. Trap set.

When Camila Cabello and Nick Jonas both performed in Times Square on New Year’s Eve, Camila later admitted she “chickened out” to giving Nick a NYE smooch, telling Jimmy Fallon she was thinking, “The ball was dropping, and I was like, ‘Am I gonna kiss Nick Jonas?'” While the kiss didn’t happen, according to an eagle-eyed fan, Nick later commented on a gorgeous pic of Cam, “Wow,” A-OK emoji and all. This was the day before the Grammys, where the two had a sweet but super awkward run-in during an interview with Ryan Seacrest. We see you guys...

4. Drake - Mia Khalifa

Adult film star Mia Khalifa didn’t call the Canadian rapper out specifically, but she inferred during a radio interview that he was the most famous celeb to slide into her DMs and send her a half-naked photo of himself. When further pressed to name the shameless star, she said, “Oh my God, it rhymes with ‘Rake.’” She continued via Complex, “It was flattering but his intentions were clear. It was just so cringeworthy.”

A$AP Rocky DMed 50 Cent’s ex Tatted Up Holly on Instagram, writing, “HEY LUV, I REALLY LIKE UR STYLE AND WOULD LUV TO BUILD IF UR FREE.” This did not go over well with 50, who called the rapper out on Instagram, writing, “You cant afford holly I gave her habits, get your weight up first boy. Bentley and better over here, n**ga can you buy that? f*ck you think I'm Kanye and you Wiz lol."

6. Bella Thorne - Cole Sprouse

Bella Thorne made a valiant attempt to slide into Riverdale star Cole Sprouse’s DMs — writing “Wow” in reference to a series of photos he posted on Instagram — but she mistakenly messaged a Cole Sprouse fan account instead. Whoops.

A single namedrop during a radio interview brought Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose together. Shortly after the “See You Again” rapper revealed he was interested in Amber, she DMed him on Twitter, writing (via Us Weekly), “That’s really cute!” The two went on to date, marry, have a child together and then, sadly, divorce.

8. Andre Drummond - Jennette McCurdy

NBA player Dre Drummond apparently wooed former Nickelodeon star Jennette McCurdy by making her his #WCW on the ‘gram, which eventually led to some DMs, then dates, then a podcast where the comedic actress revealed all about the short-lived fling and how it started with the #WCW bit.

9. Austin Mahone - Katya Elise Henry

Austin Mahone and social media fitness star Katya Elise Henry met — where else? — on Instagram, the singer revealed to E! Though he didn’t mention posting (or receiving) thirst trap photos, we can only imagine that the ex-couple’s toned figures speak for themselves.

10. Emblem3’s Drew Chadwick - Selena Gomez

Drew Chadwick held nothing back about his crush on Selena during an interview with PopCrush in 2015, telling the outlet that his song “The Sweetest Thing” was inspired by a poem he wrote (and gave to!) the singer when they toured together. He may not have set up an elaborate thirst trap via Instagram, but he definitely let his feelings about the singer known.
