Ariana Grande Pushes Up 'God Is a Woman' Release Date

As the release date of Ariana Grande's Sweetener creeps closer, the pop star is gifting her fans with hints about what to expect, along with new singles. One of the most highly anticipated songs on the album is "God Is a Woman," a track the 25-year-old has described as a sexual female empowerment anthem. And though it was originally supposed to drop on July 20, Grande is giving her Arianators a bit of a "surprise."

"i have to tell u sum in a lil bit" she tweeted out late Wednesday night (July 11). Thirty minutes later she wrote "surprise. twenty four hours til giaw" alongside a photo of Ari covering her mouth with her hands.

So there you have it, the next single off Sweetener will be filling your eardrums at 12 a.m. EST, July 13.

Grande also recently teased another song from the album, "r.e.m.," during an episode of Elle's "Song Association." After she was done singing, she promoted the song like it's already out, insinuating this will be the next single she drops before Sweetener comes out on August 17.

On Wednesday, the "No Tears Left to Cry" singer also got her fans all riled up when she tweeted a cryptic thank you message to Madonna, leading Arianators to believe we might get a Madge-assisted track on the upcoming album as well.
