Kesha Cries Performing "Praying" After Seeing "Thank You" Message From Fans

Kesha's "Praying," from her most recent album Rainbow, is an emotional song to being with, but all the feelings came pouring out when she performed the song during a recent show in Cincinnati, Ohio. However, it was a group of fans who made the 31-year-old, who is currently co-headlining a tour with Macklemore, break down into tears.

Before her performance of "Praying" at the June 11th tour stop at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Kesha told everyone in the venue, "This one's for anybody out there that needs it." Then, she began singing the touching track, clearly getting emotional throughout the performance.

Meanwhile, according to Billboard, while the entire place was singing along with her, a group of fans were holding up heart-shaped signs that said "Thank You" written on them. And when Kesha caught wind of their message, the tears came pouring out. With a hand over her mouth, and then a hand over her heart, she stopped singing for a moment. Fighting back tears, she started to continue to sing the song, but ended up letting her fans finish the performance for her.

A fan account, who had tweeted a video of the emotional performance, had shared, "This gives me chills. Tonight Kesha started crying during her Praying performance and this amazing crowd kept encouraging her and singing the lyrics. We all stand by her through this tough legal battle. The amount of support is breathtaking #FreeKesha"

"Praying" was the first single Kesha released from her newest album Rainbow, and the first single she shared since her legal battle. The song is about overcoming hardship and forgiveness. She sings in the pre-chorus, "’Cause you brought the flames and you put me through hell/ I had to learn how to fight for myself/ And we both know all the truth I could tell/ I'll just say this is I wish you farewell," followed by, "I hope you're somewhere prayin’, prayin'/ I hope your soul is changin', changin'/ I hope you find your peace/ Falling on your knees, prayin'."
