Shawn Mendes is gearing up for a globe-trotting trek.
On Monday (December 3), the Toronto-born crooner announced he'll be playing his first-ever stadium tour at the Rogers Centre as part of his upcoming 2019 world tour. In a tweet, the 20-year-old revealed he's scheduled to perform at the venue on September 6, promising it will be "the most special show I've done yet, with an extended version of the tour set & some surprise guests."
Titled "Shawn Mendes: The Tour," the singer-songwriter's global jaunt will be in support of his self-titled third studio album, which released in May and generated jams like "In My Blood," "Youth" and "Lost in Japan."
Mendes first announced the tour in May but has since included more dates.
The tour kicks off in March 2019 at Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome and will conclude November 9 at Spark Arena in New Zealand. Dates for the tour's Europe, Oceania, and North America legs have been listed, with those in Asia and Latin America to be announced soon.
Mendes is currently touring for the 2018 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour.
