Stating irreconcilable differences, Mardi Gras of Southeast Texas will not be coming to Port
Neches. The organization released a statement yesterday saying they have ended discussions
with the city of Port Neches about moving the annual event from Port Arthur. During a recent
public meeting, several Port Neches residents spoke against the move. Mardi Gras of Southeast
Texas will look at other possible locations for the event.
