Port Arthur Man Indicted On Federal Charges

A Port Arthur man has been indicted by a Beaumont federal grand jury. The two-count

indictment charges 20-year old Jamon Roashaud Brooks with Hobbs Act robbery and

brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence. Brooks is accused of using a firearm

while robbing a business on Stillwater Drive in Beaumont this past December. If convicted,

Brooks faces up to 20 years for the robbery and up to seven years for the use of the firearm.
