The homeowners association in a North Side San Antonio neighborhood is telling a family they decorated for Christmas too early. Nick and Claudia Simonis put a snowman, some reindeer, and a helicopter Santa in their yard on November 1st. They got a letter from the HOA of the Lakeside at Canyon Springs subdivision a few days later, telling them to take the decorations down until closer to the holidays. The letter didn't give a more acceptable date. The family says the decorations are staying put, and their neighbors are now putting theirs up as well.
