The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Beaumont man for capital murder. 22-year old
Lively James Stratton Jr. is charged with shooting and killing his four roommates inside their
apartment in the 4100 block of Highland this past September. One of the victims, 33-year old
Elijah Rideau was able to identify Stratton as the shooter before he died. The other victims were
39-year old Bobby Wyatt, 32-year old Alvin Bellard, and 23-year old Shannon Sutton all of
Beaumont.
