Beaumont Bomber Sentenced To Federal Prison

A man convicted of using an explosive device to cause damage at the St. Stephens

Episcopal Church on Dowlen Road in Beaumont and placing an explosive device outside

the Starbucks on Dowlen Road in Beaumont has been sentenced to five years in federal

prison. 42-year old Jonathan Matthew Torres was arrested in May of 2018 following a

search warrant at his Beaumont home in which explosive materials were found. Torres

was convicted this past October and was sentenced to the 60 months today.
