A Beaumont man is jailed after forcing a 76-year old woman from her car and stealing the
vehicle. It happened Wednesday afternoon in the 6800 block of Prtuzman. Through a cell phone
tracking device, the car was located behind a house in the 700 block of Washington. The
suspect, 32-year old Jamey Tatman, fled on foot and was located and arrested yesterday. Tatman
is charged with aggravated robbery. His bond has been set at $500,000. Additional charges are
expected to be filed. He could also be facing federal carjacking charges.
