Federal Money Heading To Lake Charles To Repair Bridges

Federal money from President Biden's trillion-dollar infrastructure bill is expected to enable

projects in Lake Charles. Republican Senator Bill Cassidy says nearly six-billion dollars is

coming to Louisiana for roads and bridges. Part of those funds can be used to replace the I-10

Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles, along with other projects in southwest Louisiana.

Cassidy says another nine-million-dollars will cover repairs to the Calcasieu Ship Channel,

which was damaged by Hurricanes Laura and Delta.
