An investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has lead to the arrest of a man for
metal theft. 38-year old Nicholas Scott Romero, of Port Neches, is a suspect in various thefts
of metal throughout the county where there was extensive damage to properties amounting in
over $800,000 and hundreds of thousands of dollars in stolen metal. Additional charges could be
filed on Romero and other suspects.
