Book Claim: Gen. Mark Milley Made Secret Calls To China To Undermine Trump

The DC shadow government that spent four years working to undermine Trump is not some silly conspiracy theory.

Once again we’ve got more disturbing claims being made about US General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, subverting our system of civil control of the Armed Forces in order to undermine Trump with China.

The Washington Post reports:

“Fearful of Donald Trump’s actions in his final weeks as president, the United States’ top military officer twice called his Chinese counterpart to assure him that the two nations would not go to war, a senior defense official said Tuesday after the conversations were described in excerpts from a forthcoming book.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley told Gen. Li Zuocheng of the People’s Liberation Army that the United States would not strike. One call took place on Oct. 30, 2020, four days before the election that defeated Trump. The second call was on Jan. 8, 2021, just two days after the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol by supporters of the outgoing chief executive.
Milley went so far as to promise Li that he would warn his counterpart in the event of a U.S. attack, according to the book ‘Peril,’ written by Washington Post journalists Bob Woodward and Robert Costa.”

Disturbing that a military leader defied civilian control over the direction of America’s foreign policy, and did so through secret talks with our chief adversary on the global stage.

In other words, Gen. Milley went rouge defying the constitution to subvert civilian control of the military because he disagreed with a foreign policy direction of the President.

President Trump responded to the claims made in Woodward’s book saying: (emphasis added):

“...for him to say that I would even think about attacking China, I think he’s just trying to get out of his incompetent withdrawal out of Afghanistan... probably the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to our country where they killed our soldiers. We left with embarrassment on our face. We left Americans behind. And we left $85 billion worth of the best equipment in the world that I bought, because I was the one that rebuilt our military, and then Biden gave it away.
For him to say I was going to attack China is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, and everybody knows it. That is a treasonous statement...
I did not ever think about attacking China.”
