The DPS is investigating an auto/Pedestrian fatality. 60-year old Sherwood Wagner, of Orange,
was struck by a pickup last night on Highway 62 in Newton County. The fatality occurred just
south of the Jasper County line. Wagner was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the
pickup was not hurt.
