Jefferson County Judge Jeff Branick has switched political parties. Branick is now a
republican. Branick issued a letter explaining his decision, a letter he wrote back in
October but did not release until this week. Judge Branick stated that over t he last few
years, he has become increasing uncomfortable with his former party’s stance on a
number of issues. Issues that he can no longer count himself among its membership.
