The mother and Grandmother of a 7-year old girl are charged with making a false report in
a kidnapping scheme involving the child. 25-year old Tiffany Shantha Hawkins and her mother,
38-year old Brandy Shantha Springer, fabricated a story about the kidnapping of Hawkins’ 7-
year old daughter. Pictures of the child duct taped in the trunk of a car were taken during the
scheme. Both women were arrested this morning.
