A Beaumont man that pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm has been
sentenced to 100 months in federal prison. 44-year old Michael Jon Gelagotis was arrested
in September of 2015 when a search warrant of his home revealed 34 firearms and more than
30,000 rounds of assorted ammunition. As a convicted felon, Gelagotis was prohibited from
owning or possession firearms or ammunition. He pleaded guilty this past August and was
sentenced yesterday.
