The driver of a car escaped injury last night after crashing into a canal off of North Major Drive
in Beaumont. The driver turned onto the street and was struck by an oncoming car. The impact
forced the car across lanes of traffic and into the canal where the front of the vehicle was
submerged. The driver walked away. The driver of the second vehicle was not hurt.
