Silsbee Man Indicted For Human Trafficking

A Silsbee man has been indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury on a charge of human

trafficking. 23-year old Johnny Ray Matlock is accused of compelling multiple victims into

prostitution. He is accused of recruiting both underage girls and women by using social

media websites and apps. He would lure them to local motels in Beaumont where they

were held against their will. Matlock, who is currently in the Jefferson County jail, faces

25 to 99 years in prison if he is convicted.
