A 25-year old Nederland woman is facing a charge of filing a false report. The woman
claimed she was robbed by a man in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store on
Nederland Avenue. She told police a man approached, stuck an object in her side, and stole
her debit card. Investigators discovered several inconsistencies in her story. She later confessed
she made up the story. Charges are pending.
