A death investigation is underway at the Jefferson Correctional Facility. A 33-year old man
was brought to the jail book-in area by Port Arthur police Saturday night on trespassing
charges. The man, 33-year old Byron James Sessions of Nederland, passed out and could not
be revived by facility medical personal and CPR was also administered by Acadian EMS
once they arrived on the scene. An autopsy has been ordered.
