An inmate that assaulted a prison guard at the Beaumont federal prison complex has been
sentenced to nearly three years in federal prison. 38-year old Montreal Delaney, of New
Orleans, became combative as he was being transported to the medical unit at the prison.
A corrections officer who tried to restrain him was bitten by Delaney. Delaney pleaded
guilty on June 1st was sentenced Monday.
