Two Beaumont Teens Arrested In Hardin County

Two Beaumont teens are in juvenile custody. They attempted to rob a person at gunpoint in

the Lumberton Wal-Mart yesterday morning. The victim was able to get away. The suspects

traveled north where they forced their way into a home on Fresenius Road, west of Silsbee,

and robbed the resident. Their next robbery occurred in the parking lot of a Silsbee convenience

store where they robbed a man at gunpoint. Silsbee police attempted to stop the suspect’s car

near Lee Miller Road at which time they sped off. The pursuit ended when the car crashed in

a construction zone on Highway 418. The two 16-year old were taken into custody following

a brief foot chase. The car they were in was reported stolen in Beaumont.
