Two men appeared in a Beaumont federal courtroom today and were sentenced for drug trafficking.
40-year old Richard William Jones, of Diboll was sentenced to 125 months and 51-year old Ronny
Joe Bartz, of Houston was sentenced to 120 months. Both men were arrested following a traffic
stop in 2013. During the stop a black bag containing a handgun, digital scales, methamphetamine,
and a glass pipe with residue in it was thrown out the car's window Both men pleaded guilty to the charges
this past October.
