Day two of testimony gets underway this morning at the Jefferson County courthouse in the
capital murder trial of a Beaumont man. 38-year old Joseph Colone is accused of the 2010
shooting deaths of 41-year old Mary Hernandez and her 16-year old daughter Brianna Goodman.
They were shot and killed at their home on Hartel Street in Beaumont. The prosecution is expected
to call more than 20 witnesses to the stand during the trial. If convicted, Colone faces either life
in prison or the death penalty.
